Sensus, a leading provider of clean technology solutions, welcomed a record 680 utility customers, distributors and partners to its 2013 Utility Conference, held October 27-30 in St. Pete Beach, Florida. The theme of the conference was “Make a Difference”, a call to action for attendees to have a positive impact in their utility or company and in the world.
“Our commitment to making a difference in our world reached new heights in 2013, as our growing customer base deployed Sensus technologies that help electric, water and gas utilities improve operational efficiency, increase customer satisfaction and conserve energy and water,” said John Stafford, Executive Vice President, Sensus North America.
This year’s conference included nearly sixty sessions comprised of technical training and customer case study panels. Topics included advanced metering infrastructure, demand response, automation control, meter data management and smart water networks.
Pat Williams, co-founder and Vice President of the NBA’s Orlando Magic and former Pittsburgh Steeler Rocky Bleier spoke at the conference about how attendees can make a difference through the power of their influence and leadership.
To further honor the “Make a Difference” theme, Sensus donated $10,000 to the Tampa Chapter of the American Red Cross in honor of the support they provide to communities impacted by natural disasters.
The 2014 Sensus Utility Conference will be held November 2-5 at the Arizona Grand Resort & Spa in Phoenix.
