Sensus is led by a core group of multi-decade industry experts that function as its management team. These leaders have a personal understanding of the myriad of issues facing utilities today. They know that with smart partnership in project management, Sensus customers are able to push the boundaries of utility management so that they achieve unprecedented efficiency in operations, customer service, and conservation.
Mr. D'Ambrosio has been a Sensus board member since 2011, was appointed Chairman in September 2013, and leads the overall strategy and direction for the company. Prior to joining Sensus, he was the CEO of two Fortune 500 companies -- Sears Holdings (comprised of Sears, Kmart, and Land's End) and Avaya, Inc. Earlier in his career, Mr. D'Ambrosio spent 16 years at IBM in various domestic and international leadership roles, and was appointed to its Worldwide Management Committee. He is also on the board of the Jackson Laboratory, a bio-medical organization focused on genetics. Mr. D'Ambrosio received his MBA from Harvard Business School and Bachelor of Science from Penn State University, summa cum laude.
Mr. Bays is the President of Sensus and leads overall operations. His background includes a blend of strong executive leadership, operational and international business experience. Prior to joining Sensus, Mr. Bays was President and CEO of Kinetek. During his tenure there, he led the company through significant technology expansion and global growth, while establishing a great culture with the organization. Previously, Mr. Bays spent over 10 years with GE in various leadership, engineering and operational posts. He holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and a master's degree in industrial engineering from Purdue University.
Vice President of Global R&D
Mr. Ayers joined Sensus in 2009, and he is currently Vice President of Global R&D, responsible for the technology strategy and product development for all of the Sensus portfolio worldwide. Prior to this position, Dave served in a number of key roles within the company, including VP of Engineering for Sensus North America and for the UK Smart Meter product strategy and development. He brings more than 30 years of experience in global hardware and software engineering, supply chain management, quality and product marketing with major telecom equipment providers, including Lucent Technologies and Nortel Networks. Dave has a Bachelor of Electronics Engineering degree from Carleton University in Ottawa Canada.
Chief People Officer
Mr. Boyle was appointed Chief People Officer in April 2012 and is responsible for providing strategic leadership for the overall human resources (HR) function. He has been with the company for five years and previously served as the HR Director for Sensus North America and Conservation Solutions. Prior to joining Sensus, he spent seven years with Lockheed Martin providing HR leadership for Federal IT and Engineering programs. Mr. Boyle holds a B.S. in Business Management from North Carolina State University and is a Certified Senior and Global Human Resources Professional.
Mr. Cheatham was appointed President of Smith-Blair in May, 2006 and is responsible for the clamp and coupling business. Prior to his appointment, Kevin served 16 years as Smith-Blair's Controller/CFO. Before joining Smith-Blair he had over 11 years of manufacturing experience in various senior finance positions, including Vice President of Finance. Mr. Cheatham holds BA and MBA degrees.
Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Enghauser is Chief Financial Officer. She has more than 18 years of financial and accounting experience, most recently as the CFO for Kinetek. Prior to the most recent role, Courtney held numerous CFO, Director of Finance and Corporate Controller roles after starting her career as an Auditor at PriceWaterhouse. She holds a B.S. in Accounting from Indiana University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Executive Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel
Mr. Flannery was appointed Executive Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel in December 2012 and is the company's chief legal officer, responsible for global legal affairs. He has 15 years of prior experience in a variety of corporate legal positions in various countries, including serving as US Division Counsel for Schlumberger Metering from 1997 through 2004. Mr. Flannery holds law degrees from Australia and the United States and is a member of the Georgia Bar.
Executive Vice President, Global Marketing and International Programs
Mr. Harber is the Executive Vice President Global Marketing and International Programs. He joined Sensus from Kinetek, where he was Vice President of Sales and Marketing. During that time he led the company through significant technology expansion and strong international growth. He brings 30 years of engineering, marketing, and sales experience to the Sensus management team including leadership roles at General Electric, ITT Aerospace, and Western Digital. He holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the Indiana Institute of Technology and a MBA from Indiana University.
Executive Vice President, Sensus South America
Mr. Hernandez is Executive Vice President, Sensus South America. His previous appointments have included Executive Vice President for ESAAP, Executive Vice President Global Water & Heat, and Vice President Central-South America with Sensus, General Manager Europe Industrial Super Abrasives and Country Manager Germany, Austria and Switzerland for Saint-Gobain Abrasives. Before joining Saint-Gobain he served as Executive Director for Invensys Metering Systems in Central and South America. Mr. Hernandez holds BA and Diplom-Ingenieur degrees.
President, Sensus Automotive
Mr. McCormick was appointed President of Sensus Automotive in October 2012 after serving as Vice President of North America Operations and as Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President, Global Gas. He began his career with Sensus in 1999 at Smith-Blair where he served as Vice President, Operations. Mr. McCormick has significant international operations experience, including activities in China. Prior to coming to Sensus he was employed by Boeing. He holds a B.S. in Science from Emporia State University in Kansas and an MSBA from Texas A&M University-Texarkana.
Vice President of Quality
Mr. McGann is the Vice President of Quality. He joined Sensus in 2009 as the Director of Quality and Supply Chain for the Sensus North American Water business and then worked as Vice President of Customer Operations. Prior to joining Sensus, Mr. McGann was Director of Customer Operations for Nortel, as well as Quality Leader for their Global Operations division. Before that, he held several roles with GE in Operations, Quality and Marketing. Mr. McGann holds a number of related certifications from GE,including GE Lean Manufacturing and Change Acceleration Process (CAP). He is a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt, and he holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Masters in Business Administration.
Vice President and Chief Information Officer
Mr. Ridge joined Sensus in August, 2011 as VP and CIO. Ron provides strategic leadership for the global Information Technology function. Ron has over 20 years of Information Technology experience, as well as extensive experience in Human Resources, Compensation and Benefits and Internal Audit with leading international companies. Prior to joining Sensus, Ron was the Vice President and CIO for Bell and Howell, a leading company in the development of production mail equipment, service offerings and software technologies. He also served in management capacities with Owens-Corning and Reichhold Chemicals. Ron holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology from Bowling Green State University.
Executive Vice President, Sensus EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) and Asia Pacific
Mr. Steve Sanger was appointed Executive Vice President of Sensus EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) and Asia Pacific in 2013. He joined Sensus in January 2010 as Executive Vice President of Sensus in the United Kingdom. Previously, Mr. Sanger spent over 25 years in the telecommunications industry, working for Alcatel Lucent and developing and selling his own telecommunications company.
Executive Vice President, Industry and Regulatory Affairs
Mr. Uram was appointed Executive Vice President, Industry and Regulatory Affairs in December 2012. Previously he served as Vice President of Electric Metering and AMI beginning in July 2006. Since joining Sensus in 1999, he has also been responsible for the Sensus gas metering business and has held senior positions in sales, marketing and business development. Prior to joining Sensus, he spent 31 years with Westinghouse in the power and environmental business. Mr. Uram holds BSME, MSME and MBA degrees.
