A successful and established veteran in the communications industry is the newest executive of Sensus, a leader in data collection and metering solutions for water, gas and electric utilities.
Tom Loutzenheiser, former chairman and chief executive officer of Telemetric Corporation, becomes the new Vice President of Distribution Automation at Sensus. Loutzenheiser has held positions of increasing responsibility in engineering, operations management, and executive management in the computer and information technology industry for more than 25 years. After nearly fifteen years with IBM Corporation and Extended Systems, he founded Apexx Technology, an early pioneer of network server appliances, which grew into an Inc 500 company. Loutzenheiser has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington and an MS in Engineering Management from Stanford University.
“This is a key position to enhance our Conservation Solutions division, as it underscores Sensus’ commitment to the utility customer and the enhancement of our smart grid product suite with distribution automation,” said Bill Yeates, Executive Vice President of Conservation Solutions at Sensus.
Loutzenheiser will oversee integration of the 2009 Telemetric Corporation acquisition by Sensus, and will direct the distribution automation product line. He also will drive product development, project management, sales and marketing for the distribution automation division.
