Sensus is Once Again Named a Company to Watch by Smart Grid News

Recognized for interoperability of multiple applications on single communication network.

For the second year in a row, Sensus has been named one of the ‘Companies to Watch’ by Smart Grid News. The company was recognized for its ability to prove interoperability of multiple applications running on its FlexNet™ communication network and its newly opened demonstration lab in Research Triangle Park, N.C. The lab, which began operations in October 2013, features technology for multiple applications, including demand response, automation control and meter data management.

Using adjustable ceiling cameras and internet access to the Sensus lab allows technical sales managers to perform live, remote demonstrations that prove the scalability, resiliency and interoperability of the FlexNet communication system.

“Sensus empowers energy and water utilities with a proven means to send and receive data that helps reduce costs and enhance customer service,” said Randolph Wheatley, executive vice president of corporate marketing at Sensus. “With the introduction of our interoperability lab, we’re able to show customers exactly how they can achieve these benefits.”

Now in its fifth year, Smart Grid News received dozens of nominations for the ‘Companies to Watch in 2014′ recognition and asked readers to vote for the top 14.
